JOIN SENATOR FLANAGAN IN PROTECTING LONG ISLAND'S ENVIRONMENT
Senator John Flanagan, along with his Senate colleagues Owen Johnson and Caesar Trunzo, recently announced Senate passage of legislation to expand the Edgewood Oak Brush Plains State Preserve.
This approval moves the state closer to preserving this open space for generations to come and protecting our entire region’s environment.
Equally as important, the transfer would remove this site as the future home of the Long Island Truck & Rail Intermodal (LITRIM) Facility and protect the surrounding communities from the traffic this facility would add to their already overburdened roads.
The good news is that the Assembly has passed this legislation and the transfer will soon be sent to Governor David Paterson for his approval.
Please join Senator Flanagan in urging Governor Paterson to sign this important legislation into law by filling out the information below.
